1. Refunds Policy
- All joining fees are non-refundable.
- All membership categories are non-refundable.
- Monthly membership payments are non-refundable.
- Jetty spaces paid in advance are refundable pro-rata only and only if the vessel is sold or permanently removed from the jetty.
2. AYC Jetty & Facilities Rules
2.1 Membership & Usage
- Membership and jetty fees run from 1st January to 31st December.
- Members may not use the jetty or slipway unless both membership and jetty fees are fully paid.
- All fees must be paid by 1st March at the latest.
2.2 Vessel & Space Allocation
- Each jetty space is for one vessel only. Stacking or placing a second vessel (kayak, canoe, SUP, RIB, etc.) on top of another is not permitted.
- Road trailers may not be stored on the jetty unless the trailer is the vessel’s only launching trolley.
- The jetty is for members only, except visiting yachtsmen and dinghy sailors from recognised clubs.
- Vessel owners must hold valid insurance.
2.3 Vessel Activity & Removal
- Members who do not regularly sail or use their vessel may be asked to remove it during or after the season to accommodate active members.
- No vessel or property may be kept on the jetty for long-term storage.
- The committee may move any vessel if required for maintenance or safety.
2.4 Conduct, Safety & Responsibilities
- All persons use the jetty and facilities at their own risk.
- Motor vehicles, including scooters, are not permitted on the jetty.
- All vessels must be securely tied down. Rope only — no wire — except on metal racking.
- If using a padlock, members must provide the Bosun with the key or lock code.
- Buoyancy aids are mandatory when on the water and when launching or recovering vessels.
- Fishing or diving from the jetty or slipway is not permitted.
- Trespassers may be asked to leave by any member.
- Children under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
2.5 Respect for Members & Facilities
- Please use the jetty and slipway with consideration for other members and visitors.
- If painting or varnishing a vessel, deck protection must be used. Spills must be cleaned immediately and reported to the Bosun.
- Smoking is NOT prohibited in the boathouse and container.
2.6 Storage Rules
- The boathouse wall racking may only store: sails, sail bags, paddleboards, paddles, oars, centreboards, rudders, and tillers.
- Personal clothing may not be stored in the boathouse.
- Sail bags must be labelled with the owner’s name.
- Unidentified items will be red-tagged and removed after 1 month.
- Unrecognised vessels will be removed.
2.7 Security Rules
- The jetty gate code must not be given to non-members.
- After using the combination lock, spin the numbers to secure it.
- After using the hosepipe, turn off the wall-mounted tap and stow the hose neatly.
